Shane Kilcher, Jewel's brother, says he "kind of knew" his sis and Ty Murray were engaged, but he didn’t know they got married, since he’s been traveling a lot.

“Cool, congratulations to them,” Kilcher told E! News when we broke his sister's elopement news to him.

Jewel may have tried to give Shane the heads-up, but he thinks he missed her call :

"Odd, I got a call from an international number. It might have been them."
